THE PRADO AT BALBOA PARK – SAN DIEGO, CA 

PART 1 – PRE-CEREMONY & CEREMONY

It was such an honor to have the wonderful opportunity to work with this adorable fun loving couple (Nick and Jackie).  As you will see from the images captured by True Photography, this was such a vibrant, pretty and really FUN wedding.

Both bridal parties got ready at the Marriott Downtown San Diego then a stretched limo over to the Prado at Balboa Park for the pre-ceremony photos, First Look,  ceremony and reception.  At the end of the evening, many guests and the entire bridal party ended up back at the Marriott for the fun “after-party”.

Inspired by the Prado’s Spanish Colonial architecture  and the couple’s love of the tropics and vibrant personalities, Bethany at Splendid Sentiments Floral Design created beautiful vibrant tropical floral pieces in corals, pinks and yellows, which really complimented the rich royal blue bridesmaids dress and the gold and coral/orange accents.

Above Image: It’s not a very good picture of me (Keli Christenson, Owner of Monarch Weddings), but I had to add this picture because it really brings me back to the exciting feeling I had for Jackie and Nick.  You can see the pure excitement and joy in my face when I’m seeing the bride (Jackie) for the first time that day!
