MANDY & JAMIE ~ LOVE AT FIRST BLUSH PART 2
{RECEPTION DETAILS & THE CELEBRATION}
I’m excited to share Part 2 of Mandy & Jamie’s stunning blush French vintage wedding at beautiful Parisian designed Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego. We will showcase the delicate and beautiful details and of course, the wonderful wedding celebration.
The cocktail hour was held in the Foyer area as the event team flipped the Versailles Ballroom from the ceremony setup to the Reception setup. We used the Westgate Hotel’s existing beautiful marble furniture to showcase items like the Escort-card table and fun pictures in an eclectic frames of the couple.
To incorporate Jamie’s love for music, they used a guitar for the guest sign-in instead of a traditional guest book. This will also look really cool displayed in their home after the wedding. Sign was made by J Grace.
Escort-card table ~ we used their existing marble Foyer table, then in the center Karen Tran created a beautiful oversize lush centerpiece piece with roses and orchids, then staggered some smaller florals and stemmed votives with floating candles and soft ribbon and rhinestones. The actual escort-cards were darling custom made vintage inspired pin-cushion (all different) for the women and vintage style keys for the men. Very eclectic and different! These beautiful escort-card tabs were created by the talented Jennifer of J Grace Luxury Event Stationery.

As the cocktail hour was taking place in the Foyer, we worked hard to flip the room from the ceremony setup to the reception setup shown here above in a before and after shot.
Versailles Ballroom at the Westgate Hotel is now ready for the Reception! We flooded the ballroom with a soft pink/blush up-light to really create the romantic ambiance {Up-light by: Tim Altbaum Productions}
Love the crystal chandeliers in the Versailles ballroom at the Westgate Hotel, they are so glamorous!
This custom white dancefloor by Platinum Pro and monogram designed by J Grace was a perfect touch to the design. The soft pink/blush up-lights framing the sweetheart table and around the room were by Tim Altbaum Productions – really helped to carry through the romantic ambiance.
Here they are coming in for their first dance as husband and wife. Great shot of the two of them on their custom dancefloor.
Here they are enjoying their First Dance under the beautiful Versailles Ballroom crystal chandelier, while their bridal party stood around them, doing the wave! Really fun…
Love this image of the flowergirl watching as Mandy and Jamie take their first dance. She looks like she was straight out of that era!
The Sweetheart table was adorned with a beautiful lace linen overlay and had orchids cascading from the top with beautiful warm candle light from the floating candles inside the stemmed glass candle holders with ribbons and rhinestones. A beautiful vignette for the focal point of the room (the bride and groom). The couple sat upon a white leather throne chair by Concepts Event Design.
The bride’s place-card was a vintage pin-cushion, while the Groom’s place-card was a vintage key.
J Grace designed and created these darling place-card tabs and tied on a silk ribbon. Love!
Another beautiful shot of the sweetheart table and cake table. The white leather throne chair by Concepts Event Design was a perfect choice! The pink/blush tone of the up-lights by Tim Altbaum Production added to the romantic ambiance of the room.
This stunning blush/pink Wedding cake was created by Flour Power Custom Cakery. They did such a wonderful job creating the french vintage themed wedding cake with splendid details like pearl pipping, ribbon with pearl and rhinestone accouterments and a stunning floral topper. Decadent, delicate and delicious!
The cake cutting… the blush/pink french vintage cake was almost too pretty to cut. Love all the beautiful details on the top of the cake {Flour Power Cakery}
Love the expression on the bride’s face while the groom removes her garter belt!
Love this action shot of the Garter toss… then the after picture of the Groomsmen wearing it on his head! Classic.
Monarch Weddings designed and assembled the French Vintage themed dessert table with the beautiful trays that the bride provided. Paying homage to the Marie Antoinette era – “Let them eat cake”… and much more!
The groom’s cake was topped with a darling Chihuahua Bride and Groom (for their love of their 3 Chihuahua – Kujo, Leela and Munkie)
Toward the end of the evening, the bride/groom and a few of the bridal party, photographer and I, snuck up to the rooftop for a fun series of photos with sparklers. It’s much harder than it looks, and they had to stand extremely still when making the heart with the sparklers while the photographer captured the shot with a slow shutter speed. Well worth it, it’s a great shot!
