PART 2 – THE CELEBRATION / RECEPTION

Using a rich color pallet of Black, Gold and a deep rich Reds, we created a sophisticated, chic and modern twist on the Gatsby Theme. We incorporated other glitzy Gatsby elements such as gold accents (charger plates, mercury votives, and gold vases), pearls and crystal details in the floral decor elements and rich elegant sequin linens for all the tables.  And of course, what would a Gatsby inspired wedding be without large ostrich feathers and a staple champagne tower.

We used black sequin linens for the guest tables and sweetheart table by APR Fine Linens and used a combination of round tables and two long rectangular tables framing either side of the dancefloor.

For additional chic dramatic effect, the couple sat on a gold throne chair (so appropriate for this darling King & Queen) by  Concepts Event Design.  Concepts also provided a high-gloss custom dancefloor and black drape behind the sweetheart table to help frame it better and to hide the windows.

The florist, Splendid Sentiments Floral Design used a beautiful red roses in the varieties of Black Magic roses, Freedom red roses, and red spray roses.  She created a stunning mixture of tall centerpiece and lows with rich red roses and little touches of black ostrich feathers and pearls.  The escort-card table had a stunning bloom of large ostrich feathers in black and red shooting out creating a cool effect.

The cake… all I can say is WOW!  Hey there Cupcake designed a stunning statement Gatsby themed cake and mini cupcakes for the cake/dessert table. It tasted as pretty as it looked!

Each place-setting was complete with a stunning themed menu by Whimsique Invitations.
